The Full Moon will occur this Saturday September 14 at 2:34pm. This is known as the Harvest Moon in the Northern hemisphere.

During the Full Moon, it is fully lit by the Sun on its Earth-facing side. The September Full Moon is the one closest to the Vernal or Spring Equinox which occurs on September 23 and the astronomical start of Spring.

The Full Moon occurs when the Moon is on the opposite side of the planet with the Sun’s rays falling directly onto it.
