The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me on this adventure. For the next 22 days I will be a guest lecturer on board the Sea Princess on the first stage of the 2019 world cruise. Am finally on board in Sydney at the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Over the next 23 days starting tomorrow I will be doing a 45 minute talk every sea day on an astronomy related topic.

Tomorrow my first talk is at 11am and is on the early European astronomers in the region.

The photos below show the amazing Sea Princess as well as the scenery as we leave Sydney behind.

Donna the Astronomer

I am a keen astronomer lucky enough to live and work in Coonabarabran the Astronomy Capital of Australia! I am a ‘Drover’s Brat’ and discoverer of a couple of comets and asteroids. I operate Milroy Observatory and can show you how to best integrate dark sky experiences into your tourism, farm stay or AirBnB business.
